Kat is a full time, self-representing artist with a history in fiber arts, once working as a textile and fashion designer. Her specialty is creating miniature lampwork glass beads that rarely exceed 10 mm in diameter (about 3/8 of an inch). Her goal is to achieve as much detail as she can on such a small canvas. Her other passions include acrylic and gouache watercolor painting, writing, photography, music and anything fiber.
She once said, "If it has string and a sharp pointy thing, I'll be good at it." In an effort to test this theory she took up target archery with ease and proved herself right.
